The Dyson Mattress Tool is designed to remove dust, dirt and debris from a mattress and upholstered furniture. It features a head that's about eight inches wide to make cleaning easier, and it is not heavy or difficult to maneuver. The head has two small strips of lint- and hair-catching fabric. I have friend who has a cat who uses the queen sized bed as her own. My friend uses the tool on the mattress, pad, topper, sheets (while they remain on the mattress), pillow cases (while they are on the pillows), pillows and her comforter. She also comments that Dyson is the cleanest vacuum in that it does not spill dirt when emptying the dirt bin (like her other two bagless vacuums), and it does not have filters that need to be cleaned after every vacuuming session.
